repeatedly I return
to the corners you once dwelled
words sprinkled upon clouds
dancing in harmony
souls knew
what was to come
where am I to find my muse
when time has buried you
from my reach
I seek yet an inspiration
to find within a sculpture
a melodic poem
a sunrise peeking beyond
its radiance
allure uncovered in the velvet
touch of a rose
caressing the skin
if the muse is not to be found
does the spirit die of thirst
seeking life after life?
to be embraced by desire is
the muse that I crave
to the corners you once dwelled
words sprinkled upon clouds
dancing in harmony
souls knew
what was to come
where am I to find my muse
when time has buried you
from my reach
I seek yet an inspiration
to find within a sculpture
a melodic poem
a sunrise peeking beyond
its radiance
allure uncovered in the velvet
touch of a rose
caressing the skin
if the muse is not to be found
does the spirit die of thirst
seeking life after life?
to be embraced by desire is
the muse that I crave

I have found you
there is no repetition
rounding off the angles
softer than speaking and the sky dances
I do the steps we have memorized
your spirit remembers me
before the time we came, the time we knew
I have no time to muse
and you are my excavation
from the ancestral cave
I cannot touch a spirit
softer than a sculpted curve
the lyrics of your sonnet
like rays of the dawning sun
and a corona
painted in velvet sky
the petals of a rose in bloom
softer then your skin upon mine
when the music plays so soft
my spirit quenches all our thirst
this life is not the life that we have known...
my passion reaches out to yours,
desire is what we each have left
the music is what we now crave
and dancing is what we can do
paint this image on the ceiling
leave it for the time to come...
you are the one -
the painter I have become.
